The Sara Lee Women’s Network is an affinity group whose mission is: To be a catalyst in driving a culture where women thrive at Sara Lee.

Vision: To be an innovative network valued by the organization and benchmarked by our business peers. To achieve this, the Women’s Network will:

  • Share best practices, learning opportunities and ideas through networking, programs and activities;
  • Provide a constructive and inclusive atmosphere for candid discussion of issues and concerns;
  • Highlight the contributions, career development and advancement of women at all levels;
  • Be an active and integral member of the Global Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council.

 

Mission: The Minority Forum is an employee based affinity group designed to create a platform that supports all US Minority employees to feel Welcomed, Connected, Included, and Supported.

Vision: Support development of a Sara Lee Culture that is Diverse and Inclusive.

Since December of 2006 the Minority Forum has provided learning, development and networking opportunities for their members through their quarterly meetings. This includes focus areas such as:

  • Career Development speeches from top executives
  • How to managing your own career and internal career development panels with representatives at various levels
  • Every employee’s role in creating the ideal company culture
  • External speakers discussing the importance of crucial conversations with peers and supervisors regarding an employees performance
  • Deep dives on business topics like Sara Lee’s innovation process, company brands and multicultural marketing

 

LGBT Network

Sara Lee’s LGBT Network fosters an inclusive, respectful and safe work environment for all employees through its educational programming, community outreach and focus on inclusion: affording each employee the opportunity to bring their whole self to work every day. The LGBT Network actively contributes to Sara Lee’s business strategy by providing a direct connection to and understanding of LGBT consumers as well as fostering a culture where diverse talent flourishes and where diverse ideas and solutions are brought together to benefit our business.

      • Implement social networking events
      • Create programming in line with Young Professionals’ values

      • Serve as a resource for marketing when targeting millennials

      DEVELOPS Young Talent

        • Collaborate with HR and managers when building training and development programs
        • Provide valuable viewpoints on company projects and policies
        • Partner with professional organizations to keep up to date with best practices

        SLYP’s Objectives are to:

        • Educate hiring managers on the value of hiring young professionals by replacing the practice of buying talent
